Imlil is a small village in the High Atlas Mountains of Morocco. It is 1,740 metres. A portrait of Imlil and the problems and prospects of Morocco's mountain populations appeared in 1984 in the book by James A. Miller called Imlil and published by Westview Press. It is close to the mountain Jebel Toubkal, the highest peak in Northern Africa. Imlil makes a good base for attempting to summit Toubkal. Imlil is the centre of mountain tourism in Morocco due to its unique position. From here, 90% of visitors head up to Toubkal, the highest mountain in Morocco. Imlil is the end of the tarmac road, and is a natural place to hire mountain guides and mules for the onward trek.

Our driver will pick you up from your hotel / riad where staying and take you to meet the guide who will guide you and show you around the amazing Berber villages. You will past from tahnaout is a big villege berbere in Marrakech area. During your time there, you may have some traditional mint tea, The half day walk is about a 3 hours walk or ride a mule ride , you will be served traditional Berber lunch in a traditional Berber house - or perhaps outside under the Tiberguent Mountains.

The full day trek will have you start from Imlil and direction to the Imnan valley or to the Azzaden valley. The walk is circular and during it, you can have lunch near the river before heading back to Imlil. Your transport will then get you back to Marrakech at 4 or 5 o’clock, the driver he will wait you in Aguerssiwal village The walk is 8 hours in maximum.

When you are picked up from Marrakech, at 8.30 or 9.00 a.m., the driver can stop for you to take photographs on your way to Imlil. Your journey will take you via Tahnaout and Moulay Ibrahim is a chraning and if it is Saturday or Thuesday, you can visit the markets in Asni or Tahnaout. You will also see the awesome Atlas Mountain Range as you across the Al Haouz Area.
